Commonly known as the Sand Dollar Cactus or Sea Urchin Cactus, this species originates from the deserts of Texas (USA) and northeastern Mexico. Its flattened, spineless body is marked with symmetrical ribs covered in tiny white dots, giving it a unique, star-like appearance. Compact and geometric, it is one of the most iconic collectible cacti.

FLOWER DETAILS
Astrophytum asterias produces large, showy flowers in shades of bright yellow with reddish-orange throats. The blooms are funnel-shaped, opening during the day and offering a vivid contrast against the cactus body.
