Latin name: Ficus elastica ‘Shivereana Moonshine’ 🌕
Common name: Rubber Plant ‘Shivereana Moonshine’
Origin: Southeast Asia (India, Malaysia, and Indonesia) — a rare variegated cultivar of the classic rubber tree.
Standout traits: Stunning pale green to cream leaves splashed with lime and mint tones, often mottled with soft coral or peach specks when young. Upright growth with a sculptural, glossy appearance that brightens modern interiors.

FLOWER DETAILS
Like most Ficus elastica cultivars, it rarely flowers indoors. When it does, the bloom is a small, inconspicuous syconium (fig-like structure) hidden within the foliage. The main attraction is always the foliage — luminous, waxy, and artfully variegated.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • ☀️ Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal; can tolerate gentle morning sun. Avoid low-light corners to preserve variegation.

  • 💧 Water: Let the top 3–4 cm of soil dry before watering again; overwatering may cause leaf drop.

  • 🌡️ Humidity: Moderate (40–60%); mist lightly or use a pebble tray during dry seasons.

  • 🪴 Soil: Rich, fast-draining mix (loam + perlite + pine bark).

  • 🏺 Potting: Repot every 1–2 years in spring; choose a sturdy pot to support upright growth.

  • 🌱 Growth rate: Moderate to fast (8–12 cm / 6 months).

  • 🐾 Pet friendly: No.
